I have gained a better understanding of light when filming. My preliminary task could have been better if lighting was brighter. The shadows make the room look darker which in other words doesn’t make the film look professional.
In my main task, even if I didn’t have lighting equipment, I made sure that when I was filming, I positioned my camera in such a way that it didn’t cast shadows over my subject and that the light was brightening their face not the other way around.
Furthermore, the way I planned my main task compared to the preliminary is more rigorous. I was much more confident with storyboarding and animatic as I became much more confident to work on Adobe Premiere Pro. At first it was very much a trial and error approach but as I practised and become more knowledgeable, I was able to identify my strengths and weaknesses that I needed to address.
