Even when it came to selecting sound I paid attention to which sound bytes to choose so that it matched both the narrative and the expectations of the audience. For my main task I equally stuck to the 12-18 age range as according to research findings they tend to be the most enthusiastic about that genre.

Conforming to the conventions of extraordinary things happening in ordinary situations, I chose a closed consultation room where the therapist gets to meet his patient face to face. The use of space permitted me to include the audience in their private conversation building tension and anticipation.

The costume of jeans and checked shirt clearly differentiated who was the patient and who was the therapist. The therapist wore smart shirt and trousers. The costume ideas were chosen to match the expectations of my targets audience of 12-18. The age of the cast members wold appeal to them too.

The casual clothing was also another factor that would appeal to the audience as it creates a sense of normality before the thriller moments – which is typical of the genre.

My main once again the choice of young cast would make it relatable and realistic. In fact choosing a 9 year old boy to play alongside a young adult would appeal to a wider target audience. The boy’s innocence would gauge the audience’s attentions who would feel an immediate urge to protect him from louring danger.
