Based on choice of location, plot and costume ideas all productions decisions were based on catering on the target audience of 12-18 as research reveals that they are the main audience for this genre.

Equally choosing a comfortable bedroom where two boys are watching television creates a relaxed atmosphere – a common activity that my target audience can relate to.

When it came to the camera angle, the choice of close ups, panning shot and point of view shot of the staircase would create a sense of panic and anticipation that would engage the thriller enthusiasts.

The sound effects added also contribute to creating tension for the 12-18 audience. The classical tune blended with the moment of panic can be paralleled to Hitchcock’s style who uses the technique of contrast to create fear and Disturbia. The tense music at the end of the video is also typical of the sort of music thriller and horror films have.

The plot itself would really interest 12-18 year old as it is about ghosts and supernatural manifestations or it can be interpreted as an intruder in the house trying to murder the boys.
Both plots would excite a 12-18 audience just like films like ‘Saw’, ‘The Eye’ etc.
