Like many examples from my case studies, I observed a common convention of the use of close ups and mid shots and I also used close ups of my characters to allow the audience to capture the emotions of my characters -Creating a strong link between audience and actor.

For example in Hitchcock’s Psycho, I noticed that there were several  examples of camera shots in the bathroom scene.  This inspired me to use many shots in my film too so that the audience can feel part of the story. In fact, it makes the viewing experience much more interesting.

The same could be noted in The Ring where the ghost is shot from different angles to create a sense of fear. If only one angle was used, perhaps it would not have had the same effect.
