This idea may not be original but the way I developed my narrative through the choice of camera angles such as panning of the room and point of view shot from the staircase helped to engage the audience in the narrative. The casting of characters was a way of challenging the conventions. To cast a young boy alongside an older teenager is unusual on screen as teens tend to spend time with people their age but I decided to challenge that stereotype to expand on my audience and to put my stamp on it as a director.

For my preliminary task,  had to include a 180 degree rule and someone walking across the room onto a chair.

This was done by using different camera shots such as close ups, mid shot and wide shot. This is a somewhat a common rule in film making as it creates spacial relations for the audience to understand the narrative of the film.
