Costumes are significant in films as it portrays the characters personality and style. From the clothing of a character the audience can tell what type of person the actor is playing.
Young adult: Casual clothing: Jumper and Jeans – normal teenager, laid back, establish he is older than the younger boy and is around 18 years old.
Young boy: School uniform – innocence, youth, establish he is less than 10 years old.
I decided to use casual, simple clothing for my character as it gives it a sense of normality and looks realistic.
In 'Kidulthood' the boys are wearing baggy tracksuit and caps. A boy wearing a bandanna and black clothing, would make the audience automatically assume that the boy is a trouble-maker.
