As my genre is a thriller sound is essential as it helps set the mood and bring the audience into the film itself.
 

Many films by Alfred Hitchcock use classical music to help build up to the climax. This is used to keep the audience in anticipation. 

I want to use another sound effect of a mysterious person breathing, almost like a ghost. However, the challenge will be to find realistic heavy breathing which wold not sound human.

For my production, I want to use non- Diegetic sound effect of the rain as it will help create a gloomy atmosphere to the narrative. 

I’ve decided to do the banging on the door myself as it will be much simpler and realistic. The banging on the door creates suspense.
