Alfred Hitchcock

English film director and producer.

 


Hitchcock moved to Hollywood, he became an American citizen while remaining a British subject.


Known as The Master Suspense of the psychological thriller genres.

He was born on the 13th of August 1899 

Worked for a short time in engineering before entering the film industry in 1920.

He won the American Film Institute's Life Achievement Award in 1979.

He directed more than 50 feature films.

 

He died on the 29th of April 1980.
