The scene opens with a mid shot of tea set of a girl pouring imaginary tea into the cup. This sets the audience to expect a decent environment and to make then feel fearless towards the film.
The point of view shot, makes the audience feel as if the children are looking at them. This builds curiosity as the audience is further drawn in the narrative.
The scene then cuts to a wide shot of the three girls sitting down playing with doll house accessories. This shows the innocence of the children.
